About Me

Akosua Akoben embraces the art of creative expression through
dance, music, acting, & storytelling. Her talents arrived the day of her birth, as all artists her environment shaped her and provided her a platform. Her family remains her support system, and has invested much time & energy, for which she is forever grateful.

Her journey began in her household, on holidays she and her cousins were encouraged to entertain the family.  Soon after she was presented with those same opportunities in her childhood church, High School, College and now her community. She has assisted and performed in many community dance, and theater productions. As well as outreach programs for community youth where she has shared her gifts and taught those who showed interest in performing Arts.

She is currently the Co-founder of Soul Conscious Theatre Troupe, a community engaged performing arts group for those who are seasoned and those who are interested. She has also gained much experience in Historical Re-enactment where she introduced the life story of, Harriet Ann. Jacobs, Margaret Garner & Yaa Asantewaa Queen Mother of the Ejisu to name a few. She is currently working on her Pan-African performing arts company!

My Vision

What is life without the color of culture, we show are appreciation of culture through the arts. She wants to expose those who live inside a limited worldview, and give one an unlimited worldview! This is what ART is, this is what life is all about!

Many of us go through life trying to find purpose, but the reality is it is given to every living creature. We just have to tap into it, this is what Akosua has to offer the Universe, she believes that her essence is timeless and that a her DNA is imprinted in the cosmos! She wants to use her gift toward humanities further progress, give the world a chance to realize its potential and bring the best out of us all.

If you have a voice, can use a pen, paint brush, sight, the ability to move your limbs she believes you can be a world changer. The best can be brought out of anyone if they understand their value and purpose. She wants her supporters, colleagues, and audience to participate in her vision, with out you her works will be limited.
